Early this month, Make a Wish hosted a fundraiser for the children battling critical illnesses to build the hope and strength they need to fight harder and see the impossible become possible. The event was sponsored in Chicken and Whiskey restaurant, located in Washington DC, by Star Restaurant Group, the managing partner for C&W.
Residents from the metropolitan area joined in to support of Make a Wish, a nonprofit that since 1980 has aided children stricken with devastating diseases. In 2019, more than 315,000 children in the United States and its territories have benefited from the hope, strength and joy of experiencing their one heartfelt wishes. And while it’s not the beginning, it’s nowhere near the end.
“We are so grateful to have our first ever fundraiser for Make a Wish,” said Joy Kingsley, founder partner of Chicken and Whiskey “.This fundraiser is a key factor in our ability to fund wishes that can give hope to those kids in need of some hope.”
Raffles abounded with donated gifts courtesy of Chicken and Whiskey and Star Restaurant Group, the managing partner for C&W, who thanked everyone who participated. The prices included Whiskey bottles, photography session and much more. DJ OZ stood behind the decks, setting the night and, mixing the best tunes.
